چکیده

Objective To investigate the predictive value of preoperative neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet-to-lymphocyte (PLR), systemic inflammation response index (SIRI), and immune (SII) for early recurrence after liver resection in patients with hepatitis B-related hepatocellular carcinoma. Methods A retrospective study was conducted on 162 who underwent carcinoma (HCC) between January 2013 April 2016. The Youden utilized to calculate optimal cut-off value. Pearson Chi-square test applied analyze relationship inflammatory indexes common clinical pathological features. Kaplan-Meier method Log-Rank were implemented compare recurrence-free survival rate within 2 years population. Cox regression analysis used identify risk factors postoperative recurrence. Results best values SIRI, PLR, NLR SII 0.785, 86.421, 2.231 353.64, respectively. Tumor diameter, degree tumor differentiation, vascular invasion, SIRI>0.785, PLR>86.421, NLR>2.231 SII>353.64 Combining above seven construct a joint index, AUC prediction model 0.804. areas under ROC curves NLR, 0.659, 0.725, 0.680, 0.723, There no significant difference ability single models, but performance significantly higher than that models. lower had longer years. Conclusion CIP, constructed by combining NLP features, can better predict HBV-related HCC surgery, which is beneficial identifying high-risk assisting clinicians make choices.

Hepatitis B-related hepatocellular carcinoma

Abstract Introduction Hepatocellular carcinoma is one of the most deadly cancers in the world and has been found to be prevalent in hepatitis B virus endemic regions. The association of hepatitis B virus as a major factor in the development of hepatocellular carcinoma has been observed in the past. However, the mechanisms of hepatocarcinogenesis are not fully understood. Multiple studies have s...

Nomogram for individualized prediction of recurrence after postoperative adjuvant TACE for hepatitis B virus-related hepatocellular carcinoma

This study sought to develop an effective and reliable nomogram for predictions of recurrence for postoperative adjuvant transarterial chemoembolization (PA-TACE) in patients with hepatitis B virus-related (HBV) hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).The nomogram was established based on data obtained from a retrospective study on 235 consecutive patients with HBV HCC who received PA-TACE as an initial...

Risk Factors and Post-Resection Independent Predictive Score for the Recurrence of Hepatitis B-Related Hepatocellular Carcinoma.

BACKGROUND Independent risk factors associated with hepatitis B (HBV)-related hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) after resection remains unknown. An accurate risk score for HCC recurrence is lacking. METHODS We prospectively followed up 200 patients who underwent liver resection for HBV-related HCC for at least 2 years. Demographic, biochemical, tumor, virological and anti-viral treatment factors...

MicroRNA-29a-5p Is a Novel Predictor for Early Recurrence of Hepatitis B Virus-Related Hepatocellular Carcinoma after Surgical Resection

It is still difficult to predict the probability of tumor recurrence after resection of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). In this study, we set out to identify specific microRNA (miRNA) in microdissected hepatitis B virus (HBV)-related HCC tissue from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) samples which might be used in predicting early recurrence after HCC resection. Taqman low density arrays w...

Effects of hepatitis B e-antigen on recurrence of hepatitis B-related hepatocellular carcinoma after curative resection: A meta-analysis.

AIM   The impact of hepatitis B e-antigen (HBeAg) on recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) after curative resection remains controversial. This meta-analysis aimed to determine whether the presence of HBeAg influenced the recurrence of HCC after curative resection. METHODS   We performed a meta-analysis including six studies (a total of 865 patients) to assess the effect of HBeAg on re...
